Selected Experience

Advised MTN Nigeria on its transformative spectrum and broadband asset acquisition, securing NCC approvals, managing spectrum matters, restructuring operations, and integration, and on a US$2.1 billion syndicated medium-term loan facility to support refinancing, network capex including broadband and emerging technologies, and working capital.

Advised on significant telecom infrastructure transactions including tower portfolio dealings, financings, and related structures, conducting site-level due diligence, negotiating long-term lease agreements with MNOs, structuring acquisition finance, and securing NCC infrastructure licence transfer.

Provided in-depth advisory on Nigeria’s 5G spectrum framework, including analysis of NCC Information Memoranda for 3.5 GHz band auctions, reserved pricing, rollout obligations, and prequalification, guiding clients on auction participation strategies, payment structuring, and securing NCC spectrum licences for nationwide 5G deployment.

Represented telecom operators in NCC regulatory proceedings, including compliance with quality of service standards, enforcement challenges, methodology disputes, and penalty negotiations.
